Frequently asked questions.
Tenants pay by MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, bank transfer or card, straight from their phone. The money reaches your registered bank or mobile money account immediately. Xabira records the payment and sends a receipt to both of you.
NIN verification checks a tenant's National Identification Number against Uganda's NIRA database. It is not required by law, but we strongly recommend it. It takes under 60 seconds and cuts down sharply on fraud and tenancy disputes.
Yes. Xabira's lease templates are written to comply with Uganda's Landlord and Tenant Act 2022. Digital signatures are legally recognised under the Electronic Transactions Act 2011.
Yes. You can add as many properties, units and property managers as you need under one account. Property managers only see the portfolios you assign to them, and every action they take is logged.
Property managers create a company profile on Xabira with their business name and licence details. Landlords then invite you to manage their portfolio. Once you are connected, you get one dashboard showing all your clients' properties, units, occupancy and rent collection status, with no separate logins for each account. You can track performance across every portfolio from one place and share reports with your clients directly.
Xabira is free during the beta period for approved landlords. We will announce pricing before the general launch, and early access users will get preferential rates.
Yes. All ID documents are stored in private, encrypted cloud storage and are never shown publicly. Every payment is cryptographically verified. We comply with Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019.
